The sublyiug true skin had a purplish red hue. The whole body was devoid of the natural elasticity of a new-born babe. The head was shapeless, assuming different forms in different positions; there was 110 offensive odour. In short, all the usual signs of incipient moist decomposition without putrefaction were present.
